Acceptable Use Policy

What you may and may not do with Vigilbase services and tools.

Last updated: October 27, 2026

1. Scope

This Acceptable Use Policy applies to everyone who uses the Vigilbase Services, including our free tools, Vigil and our APIs. It forms part of the Terms of Service.

2. Only test what you are allowed to test

Use the Services to scan, monitor, test or change only domains, IP addresses, applications, accounts and systems that you own or are authorized by the owner to have tested. Keep evidence of that authorization and give it to us on request.

3. Prohibited uses

You must not use the Services to:

  • Break the law or infringe the rights of others, including privacy and intellectual property rights.
  • Gain unauthorized access to any system, account or data, or probe, scan or test systems without authorization.
  • Launch or support denial-of-service attacks, credential stuffing, phishing, spam or other attacks or fraud.
  • Create, store or distribute malware, except for authorized security research in your own environment that cannot reach third parties.
  • Interfere with the Services or other customers, or bypass usage limits, free-tool allowances, verification or security controls, for example by using several accounts or networks.
  • Scrape, copy or resell the Services or their results, or use them to build a competing product.
  • Make Vigil or other AI features produce harmful content, attack other systems, or reveal information about other customers.
  • Store or process special categories of personal data, payment card data or protected health information, unless your Order Form allows it.
  • Benefit a sanctioned person, country or region, or breach export control laws.

4. Security research on Vigilbase

Testing of Vigilbase's own systems is welcome only under our vulnerability disclosure policy. Research that follows that policy does not breach this Acceptable Use Policy.

5. Enforcement

We may investigate suspected breaches, remove content, limit or suspend access, and terminate accounts, as described in the Terms of Service. Where we believe a crime may have been committed or a third party is at risk, we may cooperate with law enforcement and the affected party.

To report abuse of the Services, email security@vigilbase.com.
